Crisis-Lite Peer Support

Support from Someone Who Understands

Sometimes it helps to talk to someone who’s been there.

Crisis-Lite Peer Support provides connection, encouragement, and real-world support from trained peer specialists with lived experience.

As part of our Crisis-Lite approach, peer support helps you feel understood, stay engaged, and move forward during difficult moments.

What Peer Support Looks Like

Peer support offers a safe, supportive space to connect with someone who understands.

You can expect:

  • One-on-one conversations in a relaxed, supportive setting
  • Someone who listens without judgment
  • Encouragement from a lived-experience perspective
  • Help staying motivated and moving forward
  • Support navigating challenges in a practical way

This is a space where you can be yourself—no pressure, no expectations.

How Peer Support Helps

Peer support plays an important role in stabilization and connection.

It can help you:

  • Feel less alone in what you’re going through
  • Stay connected and engaged in care
  • Build confidence and motivation
  • Work through challenges in a real, practical way
  • Take steps toward stability and progress

Sometimes, having someone who truly understands can make all the difference.

Who Peer Support Supports

Peer support is often part of care for individuals who are:

  • Experiencing emotional distress or instability
  • Feeling disconnected, stuck, or unsure what to do next
  • Transitioning from a hospital, treatment program, or re-entry setting
  • Waiting for services or experiencing a gap in care
  • Looking for encouragement and support along the way

How Peer Support Fits Into Your Care

Peer support is part of a coordinated, team-based approach and is often combined with:

  • Crisis-Lite Groups
  • Counseling
  • Case management
  • Psychiatric services
  • Resource navigation

We determine the right combination of support based on your needs, so you’re not trying to figure it out on your own.

A Bridge to What Comes Next

Peer support helps you stay connected and moving forward.

As you begin to feel more stable, we help connect you to the next step in care, which may include:

  • Ongoing outpatient services
  • Recovery and support programs
  • Community-based services
  • Housing or re-entry supports

Our goal is to help you stay supported now and continue building momentum.
