Crisis-Lite Stabilization & Transition Support for Adults

Emergent Mental Health Services

Who We Are

Emergent Mental Health Services (EMHS) provides short-term, non-acute mental health support for adults who need help stabilizing and transitioning to the next level of care.

We serve as a bridge between crisis and ongoing services, supporting individuals who do not require emergency or inpatient care—but still need timely support.

What We Do

We provide coordinated, short-term stabilization services, including:

  • Crisis-Lite Groups
  • Crisis-Lite Counseling
  • Peer Support
  • Case Management
  • Psychiatric Services (including short-term/bridge medication support when appropriate)
  • Resource Navigation

Services are combined based on individual need and delivered through a team-based approach.

Who We Serve

We commonly accept individuals who are:

  • Recently discharged from inpatient psychiatric or substance use programs
  • Stepping down from crisis or higher levels of care
  • Transitioning from jail, prison, or re-entry programs
  • Experiencing emotional distress but not requiring hospitalization
  • Waiting for outpatient services or experiencing gaps in care

Difficult to engage in traditional outpatient settings

Our Role: A Bridge to Ongoing Care

We don’t just stabilize—we help individuals move forward.

We coordinate connection to:

  • Outpatient mental health providers
  • Ongoing psychiatric care
  • Substance use treatment programs
  • Sober living / recovery housing
  • Re-entry and community support programs
  • Housing and other community resources

Our goal is to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.

What Makes EMHS Different

  • Crisis-Lite Model – a defined level of care between crisis and outpatient
  • Rapid Access – timely intake and service initiation
  • Team-Based Care – multiple services working together
  • Bridge Medication Support – when appropriate to prevent gaps in care
  • Strong Care Coordination – we don’t just refer—we help connect
