ABOUT EMERGENT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

A Different Approach to Mental Health Support

Emergent Mental Health Services (EMHS) was created to meet a growing need in the community—support for individuals who are struggling, but don’t quite fit into traditional mental health systems.

Many people find themselves:

  • Not in immediate crisis, but not okay
  • Discharged from higher levels of care without enough support
  • Waiting for services or unsure where to start

We’re here for that space in between.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide accessible, coordinated, and compassionate mental health support that helps individuals stabilize, feel supported, and move forward.

We are committed to being a trusted resource in the community—offering timely support and helping people connect to the care they need.

What We Do

EMHS provides Crisis-Lite Care, a short-term, non-acute level of care designed to support adults during periods of emotional distress or instability.

Our focus is to:

  • Help individuals stabilize during difficult moments
  • Provide meaningful, coordinated support
  • Reduce gaps in care
  • Connect individuals to the right next step in treatment

We don’t expect people to figure it out on their own—we help guide the process.

Our Approach

We use a team-based, coordinated model of care, where services work together to support the whole person.

This may include:

  • Group support
  • Counseling
  • Peer support
  • Case management
  • Psychiatric services
  • Resource navigation

Care is personalized, flexible, and responsive to each individual’s needs.

A Bridge Between Levels of Care

EMHS serves as a bridge between crisis and ongoing treatment.

We commonly support individuals who are:

  • Stepping down from inpatient or crisis services
  • Transitioning from jail, prison, or re-entry programs
  • Experiencing gaps in care or difficulty accessing services
  • Not sure what type of support they need

Our goal is to ensure individuals don’t fall through the cracks—and instead stay supported and connected.

Community-Focused Care

We work closely with:

  • Hospitals and discharge planners
  • Behavioral health providers
  • Probation and parole
  • Sober living and recovery programs
  • Community organizations

We believe mental health care works best when it is collaborative, accessible, and connected.

Our Commitment

We are committed to:

  • Treating every individual with respect and dignity
  • Providing a safe and supportive environment
  • Meeting people where they are
  • Helping individuals move forward at a pace that feels manageable

You don’t have to have everything figured out—we’re here to help you take the next step.
