Groups, Peer Support & Case Management

Crisis-Lite Mental Health Support When You Need It Most

Emergent Mental Health Services provides Crisis-Lite, access-focused mental health care for adults experiencing emotional distress, life disruption, or difficulty accessing support.

Our services are short-term, skills-based, and stabilization-oriented. We help individuals regain footing, reduce overwhelm, and identify next steps. We are not a long-term outpatient psychotherapy practice and not an inpatient or emergency crisis facility.

Services may be provided in person or via telehealth, based on availability, safety, and clinical appropriateness.

What Crisis-Lite Care Means

Crisis-Lite care focuses on immediate support and practical stabilization, not ongoing or intensive treatment.

Our approach includes:

  • Rapid or same-day access when available
  • Short-term engagement with clear goals
  • Skills for coping, regulation, and stabilization
  • Support navigating systems and resources
  • Referrals and warm hand-offs to ongoing care when appropriate

Care plans may include groups, peer support, case management, medication services, or coordinated referrals, depending on individual needs.

Crisis-Lite Group Services

Our groups offer structured, supportive environments to build skills, reduce isolation, and regain stability during periods of stress or transition.

Groups May Address:

  • Coping skills and emotional regulation
  • Stress management and grounding techniques
  • Adjustment to life changes or transitions
  • Recovery-oriented support for substance use (non-intensive)
  • Psychoeducation and practical skill-building

Important Group Information

  • Groups are supportive and skills-based, not long-term psychotherapy groups.
  • Groups may be facilitated by licensed clinicians, supervised counseling staff, peer support specialists, or case managers, depending on the group’s purpose.
  • Participation is based on appropriateness, safety, and availability.

Groups are designed to support stabilization, learning, and next-step planning, not open-ended treatment.

Peer Support Services

Peer support provides non-clinical support from trained staff with lived experience related to recovery, mental health challenges, or system navigation.

Peer Support May Include:

  • Emotional support and encouragement
  • Help navigating stressful transitions
  • Reinforcement of coping and recovery skills
  • Support engaging with services or appointments

Peer support does not replace therapy, psychiatric care, or emergency services. It is intended to complement Crisis-Lite stabilization and engagement.

Case Management Services

Case management focuses on practical coordination and problem-solving when mental health needs intersect with life stressors or access barriers.

Case Management May Include:

  • Coordinating behavioral health and community services
  • Assisting with referrals, appointments, and follow-up
  • Support navigating benefits such as AHCCCS, when applicable
  • Connecting to housing, employment, medical, or community resources

Case management is goal-oriented and time-limited, focused on reducing barriers and supporting continuity of care.

How Services Work Together

Many individuals receive a combination of services, such as:

  • Groups + peer support
  • Peer support + case management
  • Short-term individual support + referral coordination

This integrated model allows us to respond quickly, reduce overwhelm, and support safe transitions to ongoing care.
